Dear Colleagues
We would like to invite you to participate in the Ein-Gedi Workshop for group work on emotions.
Emotions are only partially integrated in psychoanalysis and group analysis, despite their crucial role in molding interpersonal behaviors. In our workshop we would like to focus on emotions as an aspect of the group matrix, of societies and cultures. We would like to experience and discuss together the possibilities of incorporating this aspect into our group analytic process and practice.
The workshop will be held at Kibbutz Ein-Gedi overlooking the Dead Sea, a location that combines the spiritual and the physical, the distant and the intimate dimensions of experience.
The workshop offers an opportunity to explore the impact of emotions on interpersonal and group relations in various settings: it features lectures in morning plenary sessions that will also include a dialogue between panel members and participants, small group sessions held five times during the workshop, a large group meeting held three times during the workshop and additional presentations in parallel panels.
A daily electronic newspaper will keep participants updated throughout the workshop.
We would be delighted to have you share with us this unique experience. We hope the whole experience will contribute to our understanding of emotions and their implications for group analytic practice
We look forward to meeting you at the workshop.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Enav Karniel Lauer & Dr. Avi Berman
